8 Bells for Eight Belles was created in 2007 following the filly's death at the Kentucky Derby. The site features a Flash intro with the ringing of eight bells. Over 10,000 signatures were collected and Churchill Downs included the memorial prior to the 2009 running of the "Eight Belles Stakes", prior to the Kentucky Derby. |
